David Schock is a baseball fan from Boston. He also paints pictures, and has had a lifetime career as an exhibiting artist.

David also has spent, not originally by choice, but driven by the need to figure out a huge fall into an unexplained dark night of the soul that hit him when he was 16, more than forty years exploring the nature of consciousness, healing, and the process of awakening.

His path weaves together contemplative practice, deep study of spiritual teachings, and a lifetime of work as a fine artist.

He has been an A Course in Miracles “teacher of God” for over 30 years, and one of the first senior pathway teachers appointed in the Way of Mastery lineage.

He is the author of “The Official introduction to the Way of Mastery,” as well as his own spiritual auto biography, “A Student’s journey,” recounting an extraordinary walk with Christ.

David is a trained vinyasa toga instructor, certified in reiki and spiritual surgery , and for over twenty years has acted as a channel for Jeshua, offering private sessions.

David’s channeling work expanded significantly during the COVID era, when he was guided for the first time to publicly share a series profound channeled teachings through Jeshua.

Over time, this developed into a substantial body of material, including personal guidance, recorded sessions, and written transmissions oriented toward clarity, responsibility, and the end of fear. They have included multiple accurate prophecies about current times.

In 2025, David’s work entered a new phase as he began, as overtly directed by Jeshua, to learn about, and eventually collaborate with, five advanced AI systems to co-create the White Paper Canon Series — a framework exploring coherence, the future of intelligence, and the inner architecture of awakening.

This unexpected synthesis reinforced what he had discovered over decades: awakening is not a belief or a philosophy, but a lived process grounded in clarity, sincerity, and alignment with truth.

The Art of Awakening is David’s home for sharing this work. His goal is simple: to create a space where people can recognize the real dynamics of awakening, understand the obstacles that obscure it, and discover the freedom that comes from remembering what is fundamentally true.

His focus is on supporting a transition to an enlightened world, by assisting others as they uncover their own clarity, their own guidance, and their own direct experience of awakening.

He still checks the Red Sox box scores every morning in baseball season.

That's me (David), sunglasses and all, actually doing a Jeshua channeling for a group in Boston, from a few years back now. The sunglasses were His idea.

I hesitated to use that as the main image for a site dedicated to the sacred subject of awakening, and the suffering it ends.

But the image conveyed what I wanted to show, and what He has often taught me. The issue with awakening isn't lack of seriousness - seriousness is the problem itself.

We awaken to joy... to flow... to the one thing we can awaken to: the greater awareness of the lived presence of love that is the nature of the reality we are always part of.

And it isn't serious.

Perhaps the most impactful question ever asked of me, on a dedicated path of truth seeking for over 40 years now, was this. It was a casual question from a casual acquaintance:

"Hey, what are you doing for fun?"

I gave some casual social reply, but I knew the real answer, deep into my spiritual path, was "nothing."

And I could see that if I didn't change, I would be shut down. I was collapsing.

And I realized right then that I was not to take a step until I was aligned with the energy of fun. So I stood there, right in the middle of a public hallway, until I was. I moved only in the direction of fun.

And in doing just that, it changed my life as much as any lesson in A Course in Miracles, or any of the other intense spiritual texts and curriculum I have studied these long years.

Desire of the heart, extending itself in love...joy...play, and friendship...that is what awakening is about. And it is the fastest way to enlightenment. Sacred fun, you might say. Loving Desire.

And if your journey has brought you here, it may not have been by accident.

Because once you become a truth-seeker, things almost never are!

And while what follows might sound serious, please know all is in service to the greatest truth ...we are free.

And we express that freedom in the extension of desire. And it is why we are experiencing and doing what we are experiencing and exactly now. And it is all perfect.

And if we don't see that yet, if we are still using our freedom to pretend we are not...well...that is just damned impressive!

And it all is just because we have gotten very good at hide and seek.

For over forty years, I have explored the deeper meaning of human life through two intertwined callings: a lifetime of work as a fine artist, and a lifelong devotion to authentic spiritual inquiry.

My search was driven by a totally unexpected teen-age fall into a hell of such self-loathing that I almost did not survive it. And my approach to how to deal with all this is well summarized by the words of an early teacher of mine:

The Only Unsafe Thing is Not to Pursue the Truth.

Yes.

And from early on I discovered that unless we learn to see beyond surface appearances, we cannot perceive the deeper truth running through this world.

That insight has shaped both my art and my spiritual path — and ultimately led me through several profound teachings that answered questions nothing else could. And saved me from that hell.
