Welcome to The Way of Mastery
"Possibly the most important spiritual teaching in history." - Student Review
Welcome to the Path of Total Freedom
Most spiritual paths suggest we are influenced by the world around us.
The Way of Mastery suggests something far more radical: that you are the sole source of your experience, and that your freedom is already absolute.
This isn't just a philosophy; it is a practical, heart-centered pathway to reclaiming your power as a creator.
If you have ever felt like a victim of circumstance, or if you are seeking a direct experience of the "Christ Mind" beyond intellectual dogma, the teachings below offer a transformative re-framing of reality.
From the foundational First Axiom to the deep psychological healing of True Forgiveness, this guide explores the history, the structure, and the profound promise of a life lived in total alignment with Love.

At a Glance: Key Takeaways for New Readers
If you are new to The Way of Mastery, here are the four essential pillars of this pathway:
-
Quick Navigation of the Pathway
While the publishing history of the WOM includes a volume, published by the Shanti Christo Foundation, and called "The Way of Mastery," that is not the whole pathway, only a fraction of it,
The whole works together. The Way of the Heart is like an exercise routine in a way. You get "stronger"r, one lesson per month, so that when the Way of Transformation comes around, you can handle it. Jumping forward will prevent real learning, for the most part.
And while the Shanti Christo "blue book" version of the trilogy is expedient, combining the three trilogy-year lessons under one cover, they are only a fraction of it. The teachings are meant to be completed one at time, over a year, before going on to the next session.

The Recommended Sequence:
: Note on Supplemental Reading: While the formal Trilogy must be followed in strict chronological order, the Early Years and Later Years materials are topic-centered rather than curriculum-based.
These profound messages—covering subjects like Love, Grace, and Earth Changes—are designed to support your journey and can be read or listened to at any time to deepen your understanding as you move through the formal lessons.

THE WAY OF MASTERY OVERVIEW
Introduction and History
The Way of Mastery is a pathway offering a profound and comprehensive theology and lived experience of love. it provides this via a progression of teachings, exercises and Living Practices. All devoted to a genuine – and radical - depth of living enlightenment.
Purpose
The purpose of The Way of Mastery is threefold:
~ To create a pathway that can support any student from their first steps all the way to truly awakening into ‘Christ Mind’.
~ To restore the original Teachings of Jeshua (Jesus) given to His followers.
~ To ‘birth a million Christs.’ At the heart of The Way of Mastery are the channeled messages from Jeshua.
They include:
~ The Jeshua Letters
~ The Way of the Servant
~ The Christ Mind Trilogy:
- The Way of the Heart
- The Way of Transformation
- The Way of Knowing
~ The Early Years messages
~ The Later Years Messages
and more..

What the Way of Mastery Says
The Way of Mastery is a pathway of enlightenment teachings based on forgiveness, and on the idea that, as only love is real, we are free. This freedom means that we create our experience of reality through the free choices we make. The capacity to awakening lies ultimately on the student’s power to make new choices. When one’s thoughts are fully aligned with love, reality is remembered and restored to awareness.
The First Axiom, which begins the formal teachings of the Christ Mind Trilogy, in the first book of core pathway lessons, The Way of the Heart, is the foundational teaching on which the rest of the teachings are based. It is stated in multiple ways. Two of several examples:
“I am Pure Spirit, undefiled and unaffected by anything or anyone. I am given full power to choose and, therefore, to create my experience as I would have it be.”
And again:
“I am created as my Father created me to be. I am free. And nothing sources my experience but me, in each moment. Nothing has an effect upon me, whatsoever, save that which I choose to allow to affect me.”
The simplicity of the message is that freedom is an aspect of Love, and God is Love, and therefore we are free. This theme echoes a similar quote from the well known A Course in Miracles (ACIM), which occurs well into the text:
“It is impossible the Son of God be merely driven by events outside of him.
It is impossible that happenings that come to him were not his choice. His power of decision is the determiner of every situation in which he seems to find himself by chance or accident.”
However, while this theme emerges over 400 pages into the ACIM text, it is the very first axiom shared at the very start of The Way of the Heart. Jeshua is making it clear that not only are we free, but that our experience is created solely by what we choose to put our attention on. From lesson one of The Way of the Heart:
“In each and every moment, then, you cannot be a victim of what you see, and nothing is outside of you. What you experience you have directly and deliberately called to yourself.”
The implications of this teaching about the nature of causation are vast beyond comprehension, not just an idea, but a radical, transformative re-framing of our fundamental ideas about reality, God and our relationship with life, this world, ourselves and each other. At first, it is usually resisted on multiple levels, and almost never easily grasped.
Indeed, the rest of the large group of messages from Jeshua that make up The Way of Mastery channeled materials are said by Him to be merely provided to help the student grasp, learn and integrate the awareness of this first axiom.
He makes it uncompromisingly clear that the nature of Reality is Love, and we are therefore free, and all that we experience we have chosen, and our experiences are manifested entirely by our self... that nothing is ever done to us only for us.Thus is established in The Way of Mastery the foundation of non-duality, a comprehensive theology of God as Love, and all powerful as well.
Following the establishment of the First Axiom, The Way of the Heart continues to delve into the core teachings of this pathway, starting with the teaching of forgiveness. Unlike traditional notions of forgiving another for something they have done.
However, since the first axiom states that no one can do anything to another, forgiveness is described as forgiving oneself one’s projections that they have placed upon another, and blaming the other for doing what they have actually done themselves.
The focus becomes on how the event was, somehow, in fact, “for them.” This radical process of forgiveness is synonymous with a return to empowerment and self-awareness, the awareness that one is creating their own experience, and reclaiming this.
As this occurs, one becomes able to consciously direct their created experience. To “choose again.”
Starting with chapter four of The Way of the Heart, the Keys of the Kingdom are introduced, of which there were four:
desire, intention, allowance and surrender.
The first of the formal series of lessons continues on with discussions of these and other deepening subjects, and the application of them in practice exercises.
A foundational spiritual teaching, The Way of the Heart contains lessons that Jeshua Himself was given during His lifetime.
Moving the student beyond merely the logical mind, they focus on the bringing of the awareness of the deeper part of the mind, the “heart.”
Starting there, The Way of Mastery pathway of teachings goes on to re-establish the teachings Jeshua Himself taught, during His lifetime. They are designed as the fulfillment of His message, given for this time in human history.
As such they form the essence of the heart centered wisdom that is the way of the Christ Path.
Building as they progress, The Way of the Heart creates the foundation on which the following lessons, The Way of Transformation and The Way of Knowing rest.
From The Way of the Heart:
"It is the way unknown to the world. It is a way unknown to many who would call themselves spiritual teachers, for it is not a way of resting on, or becoming dependent on, magical means.
"It is, rather, that pathway which cultivates within you the decision to turn your attention upon your own mind, upon your own behavior, upon what is true and real for you, moment to moment so that you may study it, consider it, feel it, and breathe the Light of Spirit through it, with this one goal: to constantly retrain the mind so that it assumes complete responsibility in each moment.
Why is this necessary? Because without it, there can be no peace."
The Way of the Heart starts the formal lessons of the pathway, followed by The Way of Transformation (WOT) and The Way of Knowing (WOK).
However, please remember that each is to be completed prior to going on to the next set of lessons.
Together they form a one-lesson a month, three year cycle of instruction, with each of the subsequent series, again, not to be engaged, not even read, until the prior is completed. As such, we will not be quoting anything from the WOT or the WOK in this study guide.
The entire set of the core lessons were chronologically predated by The Jeshua Letters and The Way of the Servant, the first two texts (scribed books), as well as much of the Early Years materials (originally channeled as audio).
So let us look at the teachings in order. And starting with the first of these, The Jeshua Letters, let’s take a deeper look at each.
THE JESHUA LETTERS
The Jeshua Letters is an autobiographical account by Jayem which covers a period of nearly two years in which his connection with Jeshua was developed and nurtured.
The Jeshua Letters tells an extraordinary personal story, as well as publishing the earliest channelings, establishing the foundation of the teachings that would be given by Jeshua over the next twenty years.
The Jeshua Letters is simple, profound and practical. It contains the essential truths and structure of the later Way of Mastery teachings, many of which it predates by nearly a decade.
Presented here is a holistic wisdom that encapsulates a vision of man, God and reality which echoes many of the themes of the earlier A Course in Miracles, but also goes beyond them in significant ways. The nature of why the teachings are being given for this age, as well as key prophecies by Jeshua, are included as well.
“Now We Begin…” (An excerpt from The Jeshua Letters):
"I am the one the world knows as Jesus, and now you have come to where I AM… I will share with you My final message to the sons of the Living God.
When this task is completed, I shall return to where I AM, awaiting the heralding of the New Age of Light upon this physical plane. It is soon to be manifest.
Now, I will leave you. I would endeavor to impress upon you the conviction of the Truth you know.
Trust your inner voice. It neither fails nor deceives you. It is in silent humility that the voice of the Father speaks.
Do know that I, the one you know as Jeshua, am indeed with you always, throughout eternity.
Rest in peace. Amen."
THE WAY OF THE SERVANT
The Way of the Servant: Enlightenment, the Final Stage is the second book, as chronologically created, of the The Way of Mastery. This remarkable book speaks to how the mind is guided once awakening to the truth of who we really are has been realized.
Given prior to the very beginning of the formal trilogy of lessons, exercises which start in earnest with The Way of the Heart, The Way of the Servant could in some ways be seen as the first set of lessons of the pathway, or also, given its content, the last.
Jeshua often teaches “Begin at the end,” and with The Way of the Servant, He (as He always does), practices what he preaches. Here, He describes, in the most succinct, direct, and even poetic language, not the beginning of our journey, nor processes that serve us on it, but, rather, the last and final stage.
An excerpt from Jeshua in The Way of the Servant:
"In this work, I shall address the meaning of servantship, for here is found the highest calling of the soul, as well as the final enactment possible in the field of manifestation…
I will clarify the true nature of the servant, as well as the qualities of genuine service.
We will journey through the field of obstacles which keep the highest joy just beyond the grasp of the one who would join in union with God.
Know This: Nothing ever imagined by the mind of man can bring the soul such depth of peace, such breadth of fulfillment, such heights of unspeakable joy as can servantship..."
The Way of the Servant was followed by The Way of the Heart, and the entire Christ Mind Trilogy, discussed above. During the time all these were being created, The Early Years messages were coming through as well.
THE EARLY YEARS
In addition to the first two books and the formal trilogy of lessons, The Early Years messages are a fantastic body of channeled work. They are a vital part of Jeshua’s pathway, and they are numerous.
A partial list of over twenty includes: Joy, Love Heals All Things, Death and Earth Changes, Heaven on Earth, Grace as Reality, and many more.
Remarkably, they can now all be accessed, for free, at www.Christmind.info, and at www.wayofmastery.com, as well as on YouTube.

The Way of Mastery ~ History and Student Guide
The Way of Mastery pathway of enlightenment is a series of teachings which, like A Course in Miracles, is one of the new teachings of Jesus Christ, and is, importantly, given specifically for this time.
The Way of Mastery begins with the story of how, in July of 1987, Jesus, known as Jeshua in the WOM, appeared to Marc Alan Hammer (later known as Jon Marc Hammer, and currently Jayem).
This communication, and the earliest channelings, are recounted in the first book of the WOM, known as The Jeshua Letters. A second book, The Way of the Servant, soon followed.
Starting in 1994, the teachings continued in a series of more formal exercises, originally given over a three year period, once a month, in audio format. These are titled The Way of the Heart, The Way of Transformation, and The Way of Knowing.
During this entire time, private sessions were offered with Jeshua to many individuals. Also, many more channeled teachings were given, generally on specific subjects, in public gatherings as well. These were recorded, and later transcribed, and are known collectively as The Early Years.
You will find that there are two primary ways in which you might encounter the Way of Mastery.
-
The Organizations
The Shanti Christo Foundation (SCF) was set up in the early days of the WOM to disseminate the teachings, and to be caretaker for the Temple Canyon Sanctuary land in New Mexico.
The land, purchased under extraordinary conditions, was done with the idea of it being a gathering place and place of sacred healing. It is still under the care of SCF.
As is often the case with spiritual teachings, a split in interpretation of the teachings has led to SCF and the channel Jayem no longer sharing association, and to offer significantly different interpretations about The Way of Mastery teachings.
As an example of this, Jayem offers retreats, trips and courses with instruction in an extensive series of Living Practices he says he was guided by Jeshua to create after the formal channeled materials were completed.
These are not recognized as part of the Way of Mastery, nor offered by SCF.
Regardless, the core WOM materials, which both endorse, present a thought system of love, the most comprehensive we have seen, as well as transformational exercises that are deeply profound expressions of Christ Mind.
They can be seen on YouTube, and also at the websites of various groups:
This site offers extensive student resources for the study of the Way of Mastery teachings, and more.

Guidance for Study-
Basic Keys to Way of Mastery Practice
The First Axiom
“I am Pure Spirit, undefiled and unaffected by anything or anyone. I am given full power to choose and, therefore, to create my experience as I would have it be.”
Judgment and Projection
What is projection? Projection is the denial of the first axiom of Truth. It occurs when there has first been denial within yourself.
Projection is an act in which you psychically try to throw out of your ownership everything that you have judged as being despicable or unworthy—something you don’t want. You throw it up and out, letting it land on whomever happens to be nearby.
Key Takeaway: Projection is the denial of the Truth that nothing you experience has been caused by anything outside of you.
Forgiveness
Rest assured, you will continue to project upon others what remains unhealed and unforgiven within yourself. Each time you react to another, you are being given a sign that there is an energy being presented to your awareness that you have not yet forgiven within yourself.
The Practice of Vigilance:
"To forgive means to choose to release another from the perceptions that you’ve been projecting upon them. It is, therefore, an act of forgiving one’s self of one’s projections. I judge you not. I extend forgiveness to myself for what I have created."
Desire
Desire is everything; without it, not a thing can arise. Therefore, what you desire is of utmost importance.
"The Universe is conspiring with you to awaken you, to heal you... Therefore, I will bring awareness to each moment and allow it to teach me how to forgive, how to embrace, how to love and, therefore, how to live fully."
-
Student Resources
The internet has revolutionized access to The Way of Mastery teachings. Having the materials easily available assists studentship. A concern is that with such easy access, however, the directions for how the material is best studied might be overlooked.
This is especially relevant with the Christ Mind Trilogy, starting with The Way of the Heart. Directions were originally given when the material was created that students not go past any lesson of The Way of the Heart until they had completed each, including the exercises.
The Christ Mind Trilogy, published under one cover by SCF, and somewhat misleadingly titled The Way of Mastery (as it is but part of the WOM material), is, importantly, not designed to be read like a book.
Rather, the 12 lessons and exercises in The Way of the Heart are to be read and completed before even beginning to listen to or read The Way of Transformation or The Way of Knowing.
Students of A Course in Miracles will be familiar with this type of direction, as it is also given regarding the course workbook.
Without following these guidelines, it is likely students become confused, and the material lose its effectiveness in transforming the student’s lives.
And importantly, as with A Course in Miracles, The Way of Mastery itself could be defined largely as the experiences that come from doing the exercises, not merely the information and ideas contained in the lessons.
Just to add one thing, and it is information that students find relevant, and is not shared generally in the material.
The channel, Jayem, has an extraordinary complex life history, and this has deeply effected how he and students engage the WOM teachings.
He explains his journey in part on his website: www.wayofmastery.com and students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with it if they desire to. It certainly is reasonable to suggest that only someone who has dealt with the depth of human situations and challenges that he has faced could be open to bringing forth such profound teachings.
JESHUA’S PROMISE
from The Way of Mastery
“I Promise you this...
"If you become wholly committed to awakening from the dream you have dreamt since the stars first began to appear in the heavens and if your one desire is to be only what God created, then lay at the altar of your heart with every breath, everything you think you know, everything you think you need, and look lovingly upon every place that fear has made a home in your mind, and allow correction to come.
It will come. Regardless of how you experience it, it will come.
And the day and the moment will arise and all of your pain and fear and suffering will have vanished like a wind that pushes the foam of the wave away, revealing the clarity of the ocean beneath you.
You will literally feel throughout your being that there never was a dream.
Some memories might remain with you and you will know that somewhere you must have dreamt a dream or had a thought of wondering what it would be like to be other than the way God created you, but it will be such a faint echo that it will leave no trace upon you.
In your heart you will smile gently regardless of the circumstances in which you find yourself.
There will be peace from the crown of the head to the tips of the toes, and that peace will walk before you wherever you go.“
