This course details the basics of the teaching pathway known as The Way of Mastery. It is not, however, a recommendation to follow this set of teachings, which some will find heretical, and some inappropriate in many possible ways. It is up to each student to decide for themselves what is true for them.
The Way of Mastery defines and adheres to a radical perspective on reality and life: that there is an all loving and all-powerful God, and therefore we as children of the God are radically free. The core teaching of The Way of Mastery is “I, and I alone, am the source of what I experience and perceive. I’m not a victim of the world I see. And everything I experience, I have called to myself.”
This is an absolute statement, such as the law of gravity. It is saying that given the single cause in creation, love, only loving freedom can be real, and in this there are literally no victims. That view obviously contradicts the common view in life of, say, a car theft. Most would agree something had been “done” to the one who’s car was stolen.
But in WOM, the idea is that this is not the case, that the world is a form of feedback loop, designed to assist the awakening of the consciousness of the children of God, stuck in a perceptual illusion that dual forces exist.
In this view of reality, the car event was in fact done for you, at your own soul’s request and power, for some “good reason,” Ie, so that whatever unloving thoughts and judgments still living in the mind can be revealed and eventually healed. Others who may be part of the event are simply stepping up to serve your choice for experience. The central understanding is that God is Love is Power is One.
This perspective invites claims of “spiritual by-pass,” but from the viewpoint of The Way of Mastery, spiritual by-pass is denying the freedom that the child is given, and claiming falseness, such as victim-hood. This is not about “blaming the victims.”
It is about saying that, if God is Love, and all powerful, which God is in this theology, there can’t be any victims. It is not a possibility in reality.
Each has their own specific curriculum, each soul their own journey into and out of this “dream,” and this unfoldment is the actual history of mankind, individually and collectively. What we would see as physical laws and “worldly powers” are largely part of this illusion. Money in truth has no power. Physical force and military might have no power. Societal position has no power, and so on. Only love is real, only love has power, and only love can cause anything, when seen fully.
The Way of Mastery claims to be the literal word of Jesus Christ (Jeshua), and part of the larger plan of liberation given by Him for the correction of human “sin,” in this case redefined to recapture its original meaning of “missing the mark,” in this case perceptually. It puts loving action and thought as he primary means for awakening, and that includes not by-pass, but compassion and patience, forgiveness and kindness.
We remember the truth by practicing the teachings of do not judge, forgive and love your enemies, and in doing so return to the awareness of Christ Mind within. This is largely a process of “turning the mind back on itself,” because that is the real cause of suffering, our choices as to what to think, not the events outside the self.
This both a highly coherent and highly “triggering” view of reality. In this student’s opinion, The Way of Mastery is the only fully coherent thought system in human history, that which answers the big questions of life better and more completely than anything else, and the way to real liberation and peace.
But I have no idea what anyone else needs, and please trust your own head and heart fully in any relationship with these ideas. The course presents what things are like if one accepts the core teachings of The Way of Mastery as valid, and while this is my personal belief, please trust your own discernment!

The Way of Mastery (WOM), described as a pathway of enlightenment, is a series of teachings which, like A Course in Miracles, claim to be the new teachings of Jesus Christ, given specifically for this time.
WOM begins with the story of how, in 1987, Jesus appeared to the channel, Jon
Marc Hammer (Jayem). This communication, and the earliest channelings, are recounted in the first book of the WOM, known as The Jeshua Letters. A second book, The Way of the Servant, soon followed.
Starting in 1994, the teachings continued in a series of more formal exercises, originally given over a three year period, once a month, in audio format. These are The Way of the Heart, The Way of Transformation, and The Way of Knowing.
During this entire time, private sessions were offered with Jeshua (Jesus) to many individuals, and many more teachings were given, generally on specific subjects, in public channelings as well. These were recorded, and later transcribed, and are known collectively as The Early Years.

You will find that there are two primary ways in which you might encounter WOM.
One is through the "blue book," the best selling of the WOM materials, which includes all three of the formal teachings, transcribed with some edits, and published by the Shanti Christo Foundation (SCF).
The other is through the continued teaching and publishing of the WOM materials by the channel, who publishes the five core books under individual covers, directly from the original transcripts, without edits.
The Shanti Christo Foundation (SCF) was set up in the early days of the WOM to disseminate the teachings, and to be caretaker for the Temple Canyon Sanctuaty land in New Mexico. This was land purchased as part of the WOM pathway with the idea of it becoming a gathering place and place of healing. It is still under the care of SCF.
As is often the case with spiritual teachings, a split in interpretation of the teachings has led to SCF and the channel no longer sharing association, and to offer significantly different interpretations and teachings about the WOM Pathway.
As an example of this, Jayem offers instruction in a series of Living Practices he says he was guided by Jeshua to create after the formal channelled materials were completed. These are not recognized or offered by SCF.
Regardless, the core WOM materials present a thought system of love, the most comprehensive we have seen, as well as transformational exercises that are deeply profound expressions of Christ Mind.

CHRIST MIND TEACHINGS: THE WAY OF MASTERY This site has the entire teachings of the first two books, the formal exercises, and the Early Years. Many are in both text and audio formats.
To get a feel for the material, we suggest you look at the Christ Mind Teachings site, and listen to one of the Early Year's recordings. Love Heals All Things is a favorite.

Recently a site called Audio Enlightenment has re-recorded, in a new voice, many of the WOM lessons. They can be seen on YouTube.

Having the materials easily available to many is great. A concern is that the directions for how the material is best studied might be overlooked, however.
Directions were originally given when the material was created that students not go past each lesson of The Way of the Heart until they were completed, including the exercises. They were NOT designed to be read like a book.
In addition, completion of the 12 lessons and exercises in The Way of the Heart, was to be done before even beginning to listen to or read The Way of Transformation or The Way of Knowing.
Without this, students become confused, and the material loses its power to transform, in our experience. There is no hurry!
Savor this beautiful experience. As with A Course in Miracles, The Way of Mastery itself could be defined largely as the experiences that comes from doing the exercises, not the information in the lessons.
Blessings!
